1- Lifehouse Again... what's taking so long if you're not on this! It's in A already on pure request power alone!

2- Nickelback OK. Please... for the love of all things Holy... let this album die. PLEASE. I'm still spinning If Everyone Cared in A. I personally hate this song, and have seen it floundering on the bottom of the chart for a while now... please no more.

3- Plain White T's I'm glad I've jumped on this tune way early. Phones are great... and my CHR competitor hasn't touched it yet. Score!

4- Mandy Moore I gave this song a shot, but it got turned down by the listeners. I honestly think her name may hold the song back a lot. Ex-pop starlet. It's not that bad of a song though.

5- Emerson Hart Slowly building, but it's getting there. My listeners are realizing that this is the former lead singer of Tonic.

6- Akon My station doesn't have much of a rhythmic lean (my listeners want to rock!) so this song probably won't get a chance from me.

7- Amy Winehouse- Buzz artist... cut down by my listeners. I got one single positive response when I tried it out in my new music feature. It's another song I just don't quite get what's so good about it. ::shrug::

8- Gwen Stefani My listeners are getting tired of Gwen, and quietly rejected this one.

9- James Morrison Haven't heard it.. I was a little late on "You Give Me Something" and still have that going (pretty well so far)

I have Rooney in light spinage right now. It had a mediocre response to start, but I'm going to give it a chance. (Opening for Kelly Clarkson a while back probably didn't hurt).
 
Just a quick thought...
I was listening to Gwen Stefani's "4 In the Morning" a few days ago and noticed it sounded a TON like Aqua's follow-up to "Barbie Girl" called "Turn Back Time", especially the way the chorus is laid out. I'm sure no one remembers that vague tune, but I sure did when I heard this Gwen tune.

Ha! I remember that Aqua tune... mainly because I said "wow... that's Aqua? That's half-good!"

I haven't put two and two together with "4 in the morning" though.

More gold from Lifehouse....but let me make a statement about Lifehouse's music here. Their production team is mixing their albums horribly. IMO, their music would sound incredibly better if they did not compress the original mix so much. This is a good song, but it sounds horrific after it goes through our processing. I can't imagine what it must sound like on a major-market station.


2- NICKELBACK ROCKSTAR (ROADRUNNER/ATLANTIC/LAVA)
This will be one of the top songs on our station this year.

This will also be one of the top songs with us. If you have waited until now to add any of these top 3 songs, you have all but missed the train.

I have been spinning this one for 2-3 weeks. It's OK, but starting to fade. Probably will never make it out of our New Music category.

Finally heard this one for the first time tonight. I like it, but will the listeners like it too? Remains to be seen...

I spun this one at night for a while. By the time Hot ACs had started playing this song, it had already lived and died in CHR. Huge burnout.

I am cautiously optimistic about how this song will do. It may take a while, but I can see it making it into our 'B' rotation.

Still haven't heard it...too burned out on "Sweet Escape" to take the time to listen right away.

I gave James Morrison a chance on our station with "You Give Me Something." I liked it but it proved to be too much of a AAA hit for our core audience. I will wait a while before adding this one.
