Hot AC vs CHR

Yes, no rap. Also the library will go back a few more years. One Hot AC station I know says "The 90s, Y2K and Today." Most Top 40 stations don't go back much more than 10 years. A Hot AC station might also go sooner on an artist with some adult appeal, which a Top 40 might wait on.

No rap is just part of it.
Hot AC has fewer currents, and they rotate more slowly.
Hot AC does not go on new songs as fast as a CHR.
Hot AC emphasizes recurrents more than CHR, and goes back further for gold.
The percentage of currents vs. recurrents vs. gold is very different between the two, with Hot AC being much more gold and recurrent intensive.
Hot AC has a bigger library and, thus, slower individual song repetition factors.
