Hot and Yo both flip to Spanish Chr.

I'm going to miss Yo 95.1, but most of the time I could only get it out in Lavaca county.

I am not in San Antonio but when i visited i remember KZEP as a classic rock and a rock station

KZEP was a classic rock station for a long time. It's been several derivatives of rock under several calls and names for more than 30 years. It was also a Spanish-language station during part of the 70's and maybe even into the 80's.

Classic Rock is still on 104.5 HD-2 and Country on 104.5 HD-3

It was stated in a previous thread that Hot 104.5 was going to switch to Spanish CHR, I wasn't expecting Yo 95.1 to flip! Wow!!

So much for alternative in San Antonio. Too bad. Maybe this will push 101X to get going on moving their transmitter to Buda, since KROX is now under a Construction Permit.

Kent, you are right. 104.5 KVAR was a Spanish language station from the late 70's until March of 1983. That's when the AOR format of KXZL arrived.

G sounds better than 95.1 and 104.5 ever did. Props to Alpha Media.

Just a thought but Alpha Media should pull the plug on La Ley and broadcast G on 95.7 & 103.3.

According to Radio Insight, alternative failed? Well, gee (no pun intended). Maybe because a small wattage stick competing against a full-power heritage rock station was the answer? Too bad the market can't recover alternative rock quickly like they did classic hip hop. Maybe SA loves their butt-rock/nu-metal songs over and over.

According to Latino Mix 95.1 Facebook page, and while listening to the station, Yo 95.1 can still be heard on Univision's Uforia Radio App.

There's also sister station Yo 105.1 in Albuquerque, NM, which is pretty much the same as San Antonio's.
