Hot beats KRBE... Again... and Again!!!!

Congrats on the 5.1!!!

I also noticed that KRBE is shifting a little towards the more current hits, the ones that Hot always plays. But it looks like that isn't working for them that much.

Happy 2010, everybody!!!

Thank the Christmas music on Sunny. KRBE always loses part of its listenership to them in December, and this year was no exception.

It's not any special accomplishment on Hot's part, other than playing to a slightly more ghetto crowd that doesn't care for Christmas music.

Yep, KODA always does a number on KRBE this time of year...but it is surprising that it didn't seem to affect KKHH at all. I'd say it was because KRBE skews older so naturally they'd lose more to Sunny than the teenage listeners of KKHH, but mr. ric is spot on. KRBE has been playing quite a few more currents than golds recently, so that logic doesn't seem to fly quite as high.

I forgot about that move. But last year, KRBE played christmas music from christmas eve to christmas morning. I guess that didnt help them keep their numbers, which is probably why they didnt do it this year.

KRBE may be playing more currents, but they're not ghetto currents. KKHH is mainstream CHR with a rhythmic lean and KRBE is mainstream CHR with a rock lean. Which do you suppose is more likely to lose women to the all Christmas format?
