Boy, it sure was hot today in Kansas, wasn't it?!

Over 100 degrees in most places!

Whew!

And the weatherman says tomorrow is going to be even hotter!

You know something? I'm really not sure how much more of this heat I can take!

And I'm really beginning to worry about my tomato plants! Even with plenty of water, they look like they're taking a beating from this scorching July sun!

Oh, well. At least I managed to haul in some cucumbers, squash, and broccoli recently! Mighty tasty, let me tell ya! Nothing like the taste of fresh vegetables! Mmmmmm!

OMG I cant believe all you people up their are such big whiners about the heat!!! Thats all I hear on the news "Hot up in the Great plain states highs near 100. Comon, Get a grip! We deal with it all the time!

BTW, today it was significantly cooler!---And we even got some much needed rain!
I do believe that my tomato plants are going to make it!! :)

Believe me, your Tomato plants would make it in 100 degree heat. Mine have done it before and their quality isnt much diffrent from planting them in 70 degree weather.

It's been a hot, dry summer here. My tomatoes were struggling, but I know that they will make it! Last summer there was the perfect balance of just enough rain and not too much intense heat, so I had a huge tomato yield. I was picking tomatoes in early October. This year, with the kind of summer we have had so far, I really don't think that I'll be picking tomatoes in early October.

But enough about tomatoes, my friend! Glad to see you come our way. This board needs all of the visitors it can get. I'm concerned that this board may be eliminated due to lack of activity. Other boards on this site have fallen by the wayside within the past year....and I'm sure that there will be more changes made on this site in the future.
