Hot Morning Mess Gone?

Rumors are flying about WFLZ (Tampa) talent Kane making a move to Washington's HOT 99-5 to replace The Hot Morning Mess. The current hosts Chris Gamble and Mark Kaye's deal supposedly expires at the end of the year. Odd that after the station reached it's highest ratings ever recently, that Kapugi would start moving talent in and out. Washington is one of the markets that I buy in... frankly, The Hot Morning Mess is just that ... a mess. I went out of my way to buy around the station (though it was getting more difficult to do so)

DEAD.

Hot 99.5 has a local news headline section on their homepage. Today's headline? "Mark Kaye, Kris Gamble Ousted From Hot 99.5"
The links are obviously piped in from an outside source, but wow, having a headline about you canning your morning show on your website.

Anyway... if the Morning Mess' ratings are as good as they're saying, this move makes little sense. Don't get me wrong, Kane is a FANTASTIC talent, but why are you trying to fix what isn't broken? Especially for a station that's already had its share of instability over the past few months. Looks like Kapugi is turning Hot 99.5 into DC's FLZ...right down to the airstaff. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but...why?

I personally say "GOOD!". Now, we'll quit hearing those childish antics and about that stupid Teapot Tim. Now, maybe they will actually play some music in the morning.
