Yes, another one with ESPN-itis, no CW (KDAF/33) selection, and they get their content from E*, not TimeWarp.

Certainly one of the more Spanish-friendly cable lineups I've come across. Then again, it is Texas, which is said to have a high Spanish demographic.

Thank you for the "cable" lineup! i knew I wasn't the only one interested in these things! At least you have more broadcast stations (7) than what I'm getting here in Portland, ME (5). Just for the asking, did you get anything under channel 17 with that service?

Nope, 17 was the lowest channel, and there was nothing in the numeric gaps (19-21) or higher than 61 either. Was strange to see numbering starting that high, but I guess they had their reasons.

High, and growing. When I first moved back to the DFW area, there was just Ch.23 (Univision), KFWD/52 (the ex-Telemundo / now-indie), and a few radio stations. Now Univision, Telemundo (now on KXTX/39, a former long-time indie), Telefutura (KSTR/49), Azteca America (KODF/26), and Estrella TV (KMPX/29), are part of the media framework there. Elsewhere, the Tyler/Longview market once had no Spanish stations (you could get the national Univision feed on cable there), now viewers can find Telemundo (KLTV/7.3), Azteca America (KYTX/19.3), and Estrella TV (KETK/56.2) there. The Amarillo market also once had Univision just on cable, now Telemundo (KTMO/36), and Azteca America (KTXD/43) are there, plus Univision got it's own station (KEYU/31) as well.

I'm not sure why, besides $$ for the hardware involved and maybe belief that the obscure/low-power/lower-rated stations aren't as popular with guests (?). I've not heard of any FCC must-carry-type mandate regarding hotels before, and I've been in the biz for ~20 years.

Hospitals also fall into this same trap of scrambling the channel lineup from where they get their service from, though (At least here in Denver anyways) they try to stick to the way Comcast lines up the channels here as much as possible. That said, they will deviate from this when it comes to the non-locals from time to time. It just depends.

Having spent time in hospital rooms & other places where there's a TV there, I ought to know this. :D

Cheers :)

I'd like to see some more hospital room cable channel lineups posted here. Those are interesting.
