I stayed at a Comfort Suites (I think that's what it was) in Santa Fe, N.M. last year that had DirecTV receivers in each room, with the full HD lineup including, of course, all the Albuquerque locals, even KENW 3 from Portales, which isn't otherwise available in ABQ/Santa Fe.

When I was in Portland last time, it was the Comfort Inn near PDX Airport, which carried only around 30 channels in stretch-o-vision on an HDTV. That place didn't even carry KOPB, no History (just a DirecTV slide with instrumental music) nor the MAIN ESPN CHANNEL!! But it did offer ESPN U. If you have to watch college football on ESPN-U, this is the place for you!

I was surprised when I saw a DirecTV remote near the TV. I knew something was up.

Along those lines, I wonder if there are any hotels/motels in communities whose cable systems have already gone all-digital who still carries the local cable lineup--but has made the effort to install DTAs in each room rather than go the LodgeNet or satellite route.

Last year, I stayed at the Super 8 in, ironically enough, Gresham, OR, and my room had a DTA box carrying the local Comcast cable lineup. I'm not sure if the box was the same as home customers would get, though, as there was no EPG. The only way to move through the channels was to press "channel up/down" and when the box changed channels, there was nothing displayed on screen other than the channel title.

There is a commercial arm of DirecTV that is pushing that type of system.
We subscribe to a "Business Package" here at KSL, primarily for Sports highlights, but also for monitoring news networks. Multiple receivers and a fixed rate for "up to" so many boxes.

The RSNs were not carried on this system. You would expect Root Sports NW on 687, but not so much...

I wish Comcast, and other cable systems, offered a "Business Class" cable package (as Comcast already does for internet). For Comcast, it would be the local Digital Economy lineup plus all news, business, and educational channels, and some sports networks (most likely the local RSNs and your regional college conference network e.g. Big Ten Network, and maybe the "Big 4" ESPN networks that frequently grace hotel LodgeNet systems). I have Digital Economy, but if such a package was ever devised I would personally upgrade to that one in a jiffy.
