You are just like many on here. Such a HYPOCRITE. So YOU know the facts huh? I'm just telling you what i have heard at CC and those rumors as you like to call it came from excecutives that are privy to info at cbs. People like you and chuck think you know what's going on but you don't. Get over your anger, learn to get along and correctly debate the issues.

Oh and get a friggin' sense of humor :D

Another station in Houston is paying their night guy 24K with no benefits.

If i recall it was dated july. I did not hear about the news regarding the future sale of CBS in Houston/Dallas then. I heard about it in early Aug.

Stop grasping at straws and get back to your Soooooooooooooooul Train :D

Hey Tookster,

You seem to know a lot of people in radio. You say you know execs in high places and you have access to "people in the know". Doesn't seem like you're involved. You just claim to know people that are. My observation--you are a disgruntled former low ranked radio employee looking to grind an axe who can't find a job in the business. My advice, get a life, move on and give up your high level exec radio fantasy. It's a crappy business today, unlike days past, but thanks for livening up a rather dull board.
 
Not to come to the defense of Tookiebird but i just read his last post. His intial claim that cbs wouldn't sell was early july. Then in late aug he said :"I just learned TODAY"...Cbs Is going to sell.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out he might have been privy to some NEW info. Reading his post he appears to work at Clear Channel. Maybe that's why he hates cbs.

And according to what I hear, they're a lot of disgruntled unhappy people in radio. Can't say that i blame them after the horror stories i hear about the "reasons" people get fired. YIKES!

CBS is selling Non-core markets!

They said that back in July...

What the "bird" is saying that CBS will sell off in Dallas and Houston...which could happen, and CC could sell of their stations there as well...but it is VERY unlikely!

For the "bird" to claim he has inside info, when that info is splashed all over any credible radio publication and other broadcast mags is is just idiotic!

That is the problem that folk have with this guy/gal/whatever...bird doesn't know any more (and I would venture to say by the way he/she/it communicates knows very little) then the rest of us who have broadcast common sense, or those who actually do their research...

Bird can't even answer a direct question without slamming someone. When a person does that, that just shows they have no substance or credibility to stand on..so they attack and smear to cover their own lack of knowledge or understanding.

Keep the insults coming Tooks..Free Speech exposes the stupid and ignorant as well.
