The new paradigm from Arbitron...nonsubscriber stations don't make it into the public overall ratings...only subscribers get the full report...

I don't think seeing hashmarks for KRBE would help when we all know they had actual numbers.

However, i do see the numbers for News 92, and nearly 6 months later, they still don't look good. Looks like Radio One should've stuck with the gospel format after all because lets be real, it's been months already for the news format to pull up their weight and haven't yet.

I don't see how one can ignore the actual listeners of a station just because the station doesn't subscribe to Arbitron.

As for news 92, it was the right move. I bet revenue is up over what was on previously.

Yes, but excluding them from the public release stops the practice of non-subscribing stations clipping out the article from the newspaper talking about their ratings and using it as part of their sales presentation. Arbitron has been complaining about it for years and sued a group I worked for back in the day for doing just that.

From a listeners perspective now...

I never would've imagined KILT dropped as far as they have. Does anyone think a flip to something else is possible (I hope not!!!!)?

Also, what about Mix 96.5?

Thanks!
