I had a good laugh when I saw that they categorized KSBJ as "Christian CHR". They are closer to praise and worship, with a little AC CCM thrown in. Nowhere close to CHR.

Another comment from the world of Christian music in Houston. The fact that KSBJ is still high in the ratings proves that there was room for a second Christian format in Houston - one that serves a previously unserved audience. Since Air-1 considers Houston one of its most successful markets so far, even more than San Antonio, it shows that they are picking up the young Christian audience - something KSBJ should take to heart in its expansion plans for NGEN. That young Christian market presently being served by Air-1 could be theirs if NGEN had more and better signals over Houston, especially North and Northwest.

Liberman stations still not listed. The company appears to be in financial distress. They've been selling some properties lately; could we be near a sale of the rest of their Houston stations in the near future? Could mean some new formats on 98.5, 101.7, 103.3, 107.9 and 850.

How in the hell can KBXX ratings be so high when most of there listeners are in school during most of the rating time period 4hrs with a lot of listeners can not give you good ratings

Regarding KROI, if Radio One is smart, they'll push digital very hard and have all stories with a solid web presence including text, audio, pix and video whenever possible. Then embed a link where the user can "hear the latest on-air live here". Digital is where it's going with regards to news consumers, especially for a weak signal like 92.1.

A good oldies / real classic hits station would rate higher than these stations rate now.

Obviously, they aren't the only type of people that are listening. Probably people on the job, on the drive-around, etc.

Speaking of Classic Hits, if I hear Houston's Eagle play "Jack and Diane" one more time.. That song is PLAYED OUT! geez. burn it!
LOOK at KILT-FM "The Bull". It seems their ratings have gotten worse. KKBQ is whipping their pants off. Thanks CBS for rebranding and destroying KILT!

Nobody over 22 to 25 listens to KBXX they are listening to Magic 102

CBS destroyed KILT long before it was rebranded. I will say, the station name suits the current state of 100.3 very well.

I am not to sure about that still like 70% of the listeners are under 20

KILT was destroyed in 1980 when it changed from top-40 to country. I remember the day the music died, and KILT went off my presets.

Oh wow, Bruce...you are dating the both of us! I remember that like it was yesterday. No....KILT didn't die when it dropped rock, it died when it lost the personality and connection it had with this market. The people within KILT made KILT what it once was, regardless of whether it was playing rock or country. When CBS starting losing the longtime personalities of the station such as Jim Carola, Hudson & Harrigan, Rowdy Yates, Leslie T. Travis, etc. THAT is when KILT essentially died.
