Overall age 6+ publicly released data for Nielsen Audio subscribing stations for the September 2013 survey period covering Thu. 8/15/13-Wed. 9/11/13.
Next survey period will be for October 2013 (covering Thu. 9/12/13-Wed. 10/9/13) with the data release date being Mon. 10/28/13.

KILT with almost a 2 share. Texans preseason gave them a nice little bump. Of course, we'll soon see how KBME bumps up with the Rockets opening the season right around the corner.

Where did KLTN's listeners go? Down over a point. That's more than just a wobble. Speaking of Univision, might it be time to try something else at 104.9? What a shame that they spent the time, money, and effort moving and rebuilding 104.9 & 105.3 just to let it sit there with a format that they can't win with. It's now tied with the above mentioned KILT at 1.9. Mega continues to pull away from KAMA and was just named Spanish station of the year.

Would be nice if every station was listed. How is KHJK faring these days? Did Liberman pick up Univision's lost listeners?

Something interesting - my die hard hip-hop, top-40, and country loving 18 year old daughter is starting to listen to Air-1! Something I never expected to happen given her secular - if diverse - music preferences. It just goes to show that KSBJ has a disconnect with young people, and it will take better (non-HD) coverage of NGEN to fill the gap.

Hard to figure the Univision drops without data for the Liberman stations.

Aside from that, the only other notable is the continued tumble of KKRW.

In my opinion I think I know why Estereo Latino lost some ratings.

1. The music, some of Estereo Latino listeners where/are Tejano music lovers. When Estereo Latino started playing BANDA and DURANGUENSE music those fans left.

2. Piolin is not there anymore, that was another reason why I listened to 102.9.

3. The way they run the station, they try to hard to sound PROFESSIONAL. I know they're running a business but LBI djs make listening to radio fun. Univision makes it sound like they're being forced to be on the radio. They make it sound to commercial, LBI makes it sound like the DJs are having fun being on the radio

4. Vidal Luna.... He is a Dj that had his show during night on 102.9 E L..
Now hes on El Norte 107.9 from LBI, he has many followers doesn't surprise me that El Norte was even beating LA RAZA on ratings.

Even if The Box has topped Houston ratings for sometime, I still wish Radio One would stop giving Majic 102 the preferrential treatment everytime, even though I understand KMJQ is to Houston what V-103 is to Atlanta. If Majic can improve its music selection as of a year now, The Box should be allowed to as well. RO can take cues from successful hip hop rnb stations elsewhere like KMEL, WGCI and WPGC and apply them here. Plus they need to change the VO too; Pat Garrett sucks and sounds out of place on 97.9 (I find it peculiar how RO wants him in every market unless he's on a competitor) and they could go for Mitch Craig, Eric Edwards or Rick Party.
