Houston HD Problem?

Is it just me or is KBXX, KILT, KLOL, KRBE all off HD right now? I bring my radio down to see how well it will pull in the HD signals it does a decent job, enjoyed listening to country ledgends on HD-3 for a while.

They are all working at my place in Katy.
 
strange, I'm using a outdoor antenna with a 30db fm/tv amp, maybe my amp is making it not work right?
 
Might be too much amplification. I've seen amplifiers cause strange things to happen. All you need is enough signal for the digital to lock on and stay locked. It's an either "it works or it doesn't" kind of thing.
 
I could listen to Estereo Laino on my guitar amp sometimes. I remember one time I went to Bryan Tx and I heard somebody say maidey maidey.
 
My suspension is over ;D it was baout time.

HD radio is really weird. I've had the same problems with KRBE and KILT over in the Brazoz Valley while every other station was booming in. It was also very weird to catch both KHFI and KHMX and both were in HD. I would have tought that they both interfere with each other. The only station that was off yesterday was KLTN for a while, but they came right back on.

I can tell you KBXX might get interference from KLTO, that is what the problem may be. KLOL from KEPG may eb the same story. The only reason I can't get HD radio on KILT and KRBE is because of the interference of KJXJ on KRBE and the interference of KMVL on KILT.
 
Just an update, KILT's HD was down during the Texans game. Maybe that explains KILT problems, but it still doesnt' explain the other stations.

I couldnt get Sunny's HD signal either.
 
Well, if you are using a directional antenna, then maybe thats your problem. You may be pointing your antenna towards adjecent stations as well. Try checking all of the surrounding area to see what station interfers. Like for example. If you are trying to pick up KLOL, check to see first if you are also picking up KEPG. Try to eliminate any adjecent stations that you might be picking up. That is the only way I pick up KRBE in HD over here in College Station. I have to stay in a spot where KJXJ is very weak so in won't interfere with 104.05.
 
I checked it with a digital compass and where I need to point it, I know it is on its about 70 degreese East north east, the signals are comming in a clean stereo sound on my analog radio, but my HD had the problem of pulling them in HD. I would turn my FM only antenna back towards Houston, but I have that going towards Victoria now, trying to DX to corpus also.
