Ken was dead on about ch2, maybe the move-in of Jerome and potential of bringing in Wendy Corona from Miami will shake the station up. Ive said it before, Khambrel Marshall is inconsistant in his style of anchoring and needs to be bumped back to the minors.

Hoffman definitely hits it on the head. He particularly got it right when he referred to KRIV's Jan Jeffcoat as the sole talent over there. I mentioned in a post last week that KPRC should look to raid KRIV and steal her. From a source I have at KRIV, she is vastly underpaid and can do MUCH BETTER at another station in the market. KRIV is just a pit where their employees go until a better gig comes along. KTRK is, as Hoffman mentions, doing all the right things necessary to ensure a smooth transition from their OLD standbys to the new breed of anchors and reporters. KPRC's Jerome Gray snag, as I posted last week, was the result of Jerome and his agent's being on the ball and filling the need KPRC desperately needed to fill. Knowing his agent as I do, they rolled the wheel barrow up to the door at KPRC and asked them to fill-er-up with cash. KPRC obviously obliged. What KPRC really needs to do is change News Directors. Nancy Shafran, with inducements from her former boss GM Steve Wasserman, was resposible for the horendous KPRC news tabloid look. They need a no nonsense highly experienced newsman or woman to come in and just deliver the news, not the trash. Once they do that and add more talent ala Jerome Gray, they'll be on their way to resurgency in all their newscasts.
