Houston Sweeps-November?

Has anyone seen the Nov sweeps for Houston? KTRK-ABC13 is running commericals that their news is #1 in November. I wonder how KPRC-Local 2 did...especially with their recent controversial anchor shuffle?

Since the Household Ratings are delivered on an overnight basis the household ratings winner can be determined the second the sweep ends. Any station on top of the households at 12:01AM on the Thursday morning after the sweep ends for a particular time period can lay claim to a "sweeps victory".
No suprise KTRK lands on top again. Consistency-consistency-consistency, that's what lands you perinially on top. KPRC a distant third, maybe even 4th, if KRIV would ever freshen up its 9PM newscast. Ever since KRIV's Jerry Marcus retired in 2000 (God rest his soul), the station has been in a freefall, from poor newscasts to constant turnover in every department. Get a new GM that knows the market and how to manage a team and you'll have the market's next top station that might even rival the juggernaut KTRK.

When ever I am down in Angleton visiting family we will usually watch 2,11 or 13
We all hate 26. I Never really liked 39's news. I heard that WB39 is Newsless now, or is that another WB affilliate or another station?

Tribune is cancelling newscasts on some of their stations and outsourcing them to other stations in the markets (recently dumped in-house at WPHL-17-Philly and outsourced to NBC's WCAU-10. I think San Diego's WB-5 [KSWB-69/Cable 5] also recently dropped in-house and outsourced to NBC's KNSD-39/cable 7. WTVJ-6-Miami has produced news for that market's "WB-39", WBZL, for years. WTVJ also has a content sharing agreement with Tribune's Sun-Sentinal newspaper).

So far, however, they have not cancelled WB-39 News. I don't know that they will unless (as mentioned previously) KRIV gets their act together and puts on a real show.

KRIV does need to get thier act together so that WB39s news gets canceled.
Just look at the situation with Dallas's KDFW (FOX4) and KDAF(WB33). KDAF sucks
big time. <P ID="signature">______________
