Houston Weather question

Does Houston weather talk about stuff out to the west like around Lavaca county? Most of the time I just watch the weather on off the air TV now and maybe the local news. I wish I could pick up UHF channels out there, but I almost never can. I have been watching San antonio TV for a few years now since I got my new antenna up. The nice thing about my setup is I got it easy to turn the antenna to either direction. I would like to get The tube also Channel 55. But looks like that may be no way unless I can get the HD signal. I would like to get a box converter but them things are way to expensive right now.

The Houston stations don't really mention Lavaca County unless there is a batch of severe weather that is threatening to move into the Houston area, as mentioned by the poster above. The Houston stations generally cover Colorado and Jackson counties (your neighbors) with the weather warning scroll. I think all of the stations include Colorado, but not all include Jackson. I would think that Jackson County would get TV from Victoria anyway, given the distance from Houston, but I understand that the Victoria TV market is just Victoria County.

Yeah, if my antenna was pointed directly to Victoria it would be able to pull in one station KAVU 25. But either to San antonio or Houston, channel 25 is almost nothing. Pretty sad.
