Houston's 55 KTBU is no more, you'll be missed!

They must've went out quietly, because i didn't hear a word about them signing off today.
Hate to see them go though, I liked watching KTBU 55.

Like we really need another 15th spanish tv station ::)
 
And I just got a capture of their transport stream last Thursday. Guess it's obsolete now.

Ever seen the ratings? Univision regularly mops the floor with the English language stations.
 
Welcome to The United States of Mexico. That's Right. KTBU (MegaTv)has now joined KYAZ(Azteca America), KZJL(EstrellaTV), KFTH (TeleFutura), KTMD (Telemundo), and KXLN (Univision), as Houston's 6th Spanish Language TV station. You guys better brush up your high-school Spanish; Mexico is well known for Spicy Food, Talking Dogs, Loud Music, and of course, Beautiful Sexy Women. It has now just become Mexico's newest state.

Might be a gap in your Texas history... previous, maybe, newest - not.
 
These might be some shocking news for some of you guys but Spanish is commonly spoken in at least 21 countries around the world so speaking Spanish doesn’t necessarily mean you are from Mexico.

The second thing is that Mega TV is well-known for focusing on the Cuban-American community, so again I don’t understand why the connection between this network and the Mexican community.

The other thing is that neither the U.S nor the state of Texas have an official language so I’ don’t think one should travel to Mexico in order to speak another language. Again, some people would consider knowing more than one language a skill and not some kind of weakness.
