How About 11/1 at Cap's ??

How about the day after Halloween.

Our out of town guests can spend Halloween in the Quarter if they'd like.

The next day, Saturday 11/1, we can have lunch from Noon-3 at Cap's.

Then that night at 7 LSU plays Tulane in Baton Rouge. Sounds like a perfect fun get-together weekend to me.

Comments?

Harry Gish and record promotion ace Don Lanassa have signed up.

Just heard from "Teen Angel" Todd Bauer on the prairie west of San Antone' ... he's coming!

CC Courtney reports that he's not 100% sure at this early date, but lunch with us on 11/1 is on his calendar.

I'd never miss a chance to see Todd the Earl of Bauer..(I've been watching Moll Flanders) As of this moment onwards (god my old english sucks) I, Phyllis Baroness of the Jensens will put forth all effort to attend this event of total debauchery and lifting of mugs of ale to good friends and "OLD" friends, and those that encompass both catagories.

In my complete compliance
Phyllis Jensen
(ugh sorry but, it sounded even worse when I was walking around the house speaking to the dogs that way) :-\Time to PARTY Ya'll!!

Unknown at this point. I am pretty sure I will have to work on the 31st. Till about 2AM!

Friday, 9/19 update - good thing we cancelled tomorrow 9/20 at Cap's because this looks like a rainy, crappy weekend. But Fall begins next week so the weather should be feeling real comfy by 11/1.

So far we're expecting:

Captain Humble * Don Banks * Blair * Beth Fury & Jeeves * Harry Gish * Don Lanassa * Todd Bauer *Weerd Wayne * CC Courtney * Phyllis Jensen * Bob Robin * Walter Moorehead * Charlie Young * Tom Courtney * Bob Walker * ...

Soxless and Gerry V promised us they'd be there next time but we're waiting to hear. Cap was supposed to get Dan Diamond. I'm going to phone Ted Green in Baytown, TX. Bob Robin is still on the trail of Don McGregor.

We need everyone to contact all all radio folks, especially Cherie Your Oldies Sweetheart, Kimtoad + Alicia Stevens (who was gonna bring Lou Saint), and especially Skinny Tom Cheney, who was actually coming to the one we cancelled.

All are again invited, whether in radio, out of radio, wish they were in radio, or listeners.

1/11/08, Noon-3, at Captain Humble's Poboy Restaurant on Pontchartrain in Slidell.

Still waiting to hear from Scoot as well, though he was really looking forward to the re-scheduled reunion.

Hopefully you mean 11/1 Dr. Bob, cause if not we missed it a few months ago ;D
Unless you took to dating it like the Europeans ???

Sorry Bob, easy target and I'm still undecided personally

Sorry, thought I'd already RSVP'd. Weather permitting, I shall be in that number (if not toking on it) -- here in the Ozarks, that could be a warm, dry driving time ... or a sleety, snowy bitch on wheels (keeping my Mr. Meow ass off wheels).

Irony in weather:-- after living down yonder for 30 years before moving up here in late 2006...including living through several hurricanes, with only a few shingles dislocated...yo' boy, Ike, left me a souvenir as he passed through last Sunday morning. Sukka dropped a tree limb right on the corner of my roof. Hey, La.-La.-land, if you wanna send me remembrances, make 'em crawfish ettouffee, red beans & rice (with only Richard's sausage), or about a gallon of gumbo, you. :)

Soxless.

I let Dan Diamond know of the new date and he's planning on coming. Beebe & Kim Diamond know too.

9/20 update for 11/1 (sorry Don, I never should type holding a cold 807 - any ham knows what that is):

So far we're expecting:
Captain Humble * Don Banks * Blair * Beth Fury & Jeeves * Harry Gish * Don Lanassa * Todd Bauer *Weerd Wayne * CC Courtney * Phyllis Jensen * Bob Robin * Walter Moorehead * Charlie Young * Tom Courtney * Bob Walker * Dan Diamond * Soxless Scott Segraves * Allen Beebe * Kim Diamond * ...20 and growing.

Let's make this one the biggest and best one so far!

Richard's sausage? Double D mild smoked sausage is the best, made out of Bogalusa. They even lease out a corner of their plant to the guy who makes Patton's hot sausage. Now we're talking some tasty grease there that stays with you for days. ;)

Shoeless.

YUCK..In my Red Beans I use Tasso...Richards to be exact. Love that tasso. I always felt the sausage tasted like boloney..but lots of people love boloney.

You must be using the wrong sausage.

Ask Blair... he's big with the sausage.

I got you're sausage right here Fatboy. Shouldn't you be doing some Premier spots or something? Phyllis, put dat tasso in a food processor and chop that crap up. Then, brown it off with the trinity. Put them links on the grill, cut 'em up and add 'em to a big can of Blue Runner. Wah-la!
