Pensacola/Fort Walton How about a sports station in Destin?

I listen mainly to ESPN when there's a football game, or related information about a team I like. In this area we have WEBY 1330 Pensacola during the day. Nighttime can't hear them. There's also ESPN on 104.3 in Panama City. Problem is most of the time 104.3 is just a bit noisy to be enjoyable, unless maybe in my car. I also listen to football on the AM blowtorches, when they carry a game, like WLW or KMOX. But wouldn't it be great to have an FM sports station here in Destin? Even an AM. It would certainly fill a void for this area we currently don't have. WWL is also great when the "warbler" isn't on. Your thoughts?

Let the stations there know you think Sports Talk would be a good option. Call them or if they're in the building, stop by. You might be able to make that happen given a good number of stations are not profitable or if they are, only by a slim margin.

Didn't CCENGs favorite broadcrapster Ole R Hale have 98.1 as a sports station for a long time in FWB? I can't remember. I am sadly zoned out. Maybe it was another one of his stations/frequencies. Sometimes it's easier to forget than recall. Maybe it was 92.1, but again my memory is gone on that after Tim Fulmer had the station back in the late 90's. Didn't Hale try to or get that station for a while, too? Maybe Charlie can help with details there. How is 104.3 doing in PC? It's crazy how little I really recall now, so forgive me for anything I post here that is not the right facts.

I’m getting old too, but as I recall Clear Channel launched The Ticket on 98.1 when the tower was north of Crestview. CC spun off 98.1 as it was their only station in the FWB market. Hale bought 98.1 and after he got it moved to FWB he sold it to two different companies.
The Ticket is on a translators in FWB and P’cola now.
I guess the Panama City Ticket is long gone.
