There's nothing there for a discussion?
Urban/hip hop radio is pretty much the same wherever you go.
Any stations doing anything different?

I'd love to get some discussion here:

How come mainstream radio and music overall doesn't reflect the climate of the times?

In the late 60's and early 70's, a trying time period much like today, music reflected the times.

Where's this generation Marvin Gaye "What's Going On?"

What The Hell Happen To WOWI (103 Jamz ) VA ? This used to be the best Urban station in America ( 5 years ago). Best Urban station is on TV ( MTV JAMS ).

-Power 99 in Philadelphia. WUSL Power99.com

-WILD 94.9 San Fransisco, Ca WILD949.COM Saint John is on there 2pm-6pm (5pm-9pm Eastern Time)
That player used to be on KISS 108 and KISS 95.7 back in the late 80s as "Jeff Saint John" He was madddd cool back then and played some tiiiight remixes, same as today.

I like Power 106.9 in Syracuse. It's Urban, but plays a good mix of Adult songs, old school, and good stuff from today without playing the nastier cuts. It's owned by Clear Channel.....surprise surprise!

I also like WYBC in New Haven. It's operated by yale University but is a commercial station. They dig deep into the crate for old school. And it's consistantly in the top 3 stations in that market.

I have to say Kiss FM in NY butters my biscuts. now there crosstown rival BLS is also Urban AC, but sound completely Different
