How Carolla Stole Christmas canceled

"How Carolla Stole Christmas — the Edge 103.9 holiday concert featuring Stained, Papa Roach, Hoobastank and more — just got Grinched. The Edge and Lucky Man Concerts report that the show has been canceled.

According to Staind's official site, lead singer Aaron Lewis has bronchitis and "is under doctor's orders to rest his voice for a few days and refrain from performing full shows."

The Edge says refunds are available at point of purchase."

The show is today and they just now cancel it...

I'm thinking the station came up with any possible reason to cancel the show due to poor ticket sales. Usually when a concert like this looses one act they keep on going, due to a lovely disclaimer on the ticket 'blah blah acts may change at any time blah blah'.


I'm hoping Carolla is gone once his first year is up... yeah I'm still peeved at loosing Chuck Powell.

My take:

This is what happens when you try and adapt a packaged tour to fit your station! More importantly your own Christmas Show. This was the wrong line-up for The Edge to begin with. Take a look at their playlist over the past 10 months (excluding the past few weeks) and the only fit was Carolina Liars and they are at best a Club House act (currently). I think The Edge tried to program their station to TRY and fit this packaged tour and it failed. Programing the station to fit whatever show they're promoting has happen more than once over there and I'm sure it won't be the last.
