How Come Undercover Boss does not show the Gordon Gekko type CEO's

or the Bernie Madoff type CEO's? The show would be 100 times interesting if the show had financial type companies like B of A or Wells Fargo or even the CEO of Goldman Sachs. these CEO's are the ones most blamed for the economic crisis in the USA. or even ex Goldman sach members who are now in Washington.

You have to wonder how much longer this show can last. I mean, after a while people are going to catch onto the fact that they aren't really filming a "training video" on their job site. I would think by now enough people have seen or heard of the show that it would be pretty obvious that they are filming for the show if a camera crew shows up in your office. I'm sure a lot of it is staged.

a hidden camera program that showed CEO's getting drunk and obnoxious in bars, hassling waiters and
airline attendants, throwing profanity-laced tirades over their cell phones, etc. would draw much higher
ratings.

A few things.

A Gordon Gekko type boss wouldn't have any interest showing off his Gordon Gekko type style.

The show has no real interest in spotlighting any financial type companies, because the boss would still be doing "white collar" type jobs even if he is doing lower level work. They want companies that require a boss to do labor, get dirty, ect. Being a bank teller a local bank branch wouldn't fit the bill.

The show is flawed as it is. I bet the employees always know beforehand that something is up. Even before the show was a success. I remember when I worked at a big steakhouse. We would always know when a suprise visit from the big bosses was coming. The reason we always knew was because the 1 big boss up there that was incharge of our area, would call the regional manager, and warn him to make sure everything is good, so that he doesn't look bad. The regional manger would then call the general manager and warn him, so he doesn't look bad. The general manager would then warn the employees, so he doesn't look bad.

Point being i'm sure a chain of command warning system happens in almost all these cases, because what it comes down to is people want to protect their own arse. The boss will tell the people in the board room not to tell anyone, but the guys in the board rooms will be the ones who get introuble if things aren't going the way the big boss is told they're.

How about when disgruntled employees throw pies at the Madoff type CEO's or Punch Gekko type CEO's to the point they get bruised like Margarito in the Pacquiao fight.

How about having John Hogan get up at 4 in the morning to do a morning show, go on sales calls, voice track 2 more shifts, cut a dozen commercials, do a remote, and then drive an hour in the snow to call a high school basketball game, finally getting back home at about 1 AM?

I Love this show. I just never know when it's going to be on. So I end up only seeing about 1 episode every two months.

It's on Sunday nights. 9pm on CBS.

Approximately.

It was 10:00 the night the game ran so long "CSI: Miami" didn't air in the East and everyone else got a rerun.

Because that's not what the show is about. The show is about cheap public relations propaganda for the companies involved, all within a reality show setting. It's more efficient than the usual product placement seen in other reality shows--the entire episodic narrative IS the product placement.
