How come?

The show definitely works better in small to medium markets. They have been on in Los Angeles, Chicago, Cleveland, and Tampa and didn't work in any of those markets.

What I can't understand is why they're so emabarrassed to admit they do the show from Indy. They go out of their way to hide that fact. Imus never hides being in Santa Fe, Bubba The Love Sponge in Tampa, Mancow in Chicago, Don & Mike used to talk about DC, Neal Boortz in Atlanta, Limbaugh in Palm Beach, etc. None of those shows are NYC or LA-based and yet they all talk about where they are. You won't hear a peep about being in Indy except on the local segments off-network.

Jack, you make some good points.. But, Indy is not a bad place, at all.. Letterman still fondly talks of it and in the whole history of pop/rock/urban radio, Indy was a very 'ahead of its time' market from the mid 60's to the early to mid 90's. WIFE-WNDE-WNAP-WTLC-WXLW-WFBQ where the boys grew from..Even full service and long time AC-adult pop WIBC were well respected, nationwide.

I think you misunderstood me. Indy is not a bad place, which is why I don't understand why B&T act as if they embarrassed to say they broadcast from here. Mark Patrick was the same way when he was on FSR. All of the other hosts would talk about things in Los Angeles, but Patrick never once made a reference that he wasn't in LA like the other hosts. In fairness, he could have been ordered not to.

I wasn't knocking Indy, just B&T.
