How Cool: Mason hangs up headphones at Kool San Diego

"Thank you for being a friend" at 5:10 p.m., for 12 hours and 10 minutes, Dave was in the hot chair at Kool San Diego. He took requests, answered email, and talked with Shotgun Tom Kelly, Chuck Buell, David Leonard and others about all things San Diego Radio. I was fortunate to be invited in studio and was able to hang with Mason for a couple of hours. (Thanks Dave!)

Then, after a l-o-n-g day behind the mic, he closed it out with Andrew Gold's classic song .. Thanks Dave for the trip down memory lane ... and See You on the radio beginning Monday at KO-GO.<P ID="signature">______________

That was, well, cool, Chris.

Dave was on Mark's KOGO show for 10 minutes this afternoon.
After the cross-station phone call ended, KOOL went to KOGO's
feed instead of KOOL's own live studio. Wonder if KOGO got
KOOL's feed there?

Back to work on my blog. Too many letters to sort through.

Dave's been a friend since the 70s at WAXC in Rochester. A class act and great guy. I just heard him last week while visiting in Florida (on a Clear Channel Cruises spot)!

Dave will do a great job at KOGO, just as he did in Cincinnati at WKRC, in Pittsburgh at WTAE, in Rochester at WAXC and WBBF, and in Buffalo at WGR. Congrats!
