Sorry to take away the duties of Spanish radio station reporting from you but..."Azucar" 880 KJOJ/Conroe has been silent for the better part of the day. The station is on the air, however there is only a loud "hum" audible. Found this with a scan of the dial at 3:30pm, and re-checked it at 6:30pm, shortly before the nighttime switch to 1kw and it remained the same. IIRC, this is what happened the last time Liberman found someone to buy time on the station. Wonder if we're getting something new on the AM dial?

Well yes thank you for the info. Im my OPINION I dont think anybody even listens to Azucar 880 am. Thats why it went to that Houng Town City Radio

In any case, it is against the rules for the station to remain on the air for more than 3 hours with no programming...hmmm time to call Mike at LBI and see whats going on....LBI just needs to sell KJOJ and let it return to being a Montgomery Co signal..it does NOT reach metro Houston well

Hey CW, just to give you an update this is the 3rd day for KJOJ to be silent besides the hum. On several checks during the day (their 1kw signal doesn't make it to me) it has remained the same.

CW, your call must have worked wonders. KJOJ is back on the air, with "Azucar" at my aircheck around 6:00pm last night.
