How Did NYC TV Stations Handle Bin Laden's Death?

Surprised that WCBS-TV 2 and WNYW Fox 5 were back into regular programming so quickly...

NY 1 - Live coverage till around 2am with reporters at Times Sq. and Ground Zero.
WCBS 2 - Carried CBS coverage at 11:30 which ended around Midnight. Went to TV show "Numbers."
WNBC 4 - Had local coverage with reporter in Times Sq. till 1:30am.
Fox 5 - Carried Fox coverage at 11:30 but went back to "TMZ" at midnight. Channels 2 and 5 had the briefest coverage of the major stations, even briefer than the Hispanic stations.
WABC 7 - Carried ABC coverage with George Stephanopolis till 1:30am.
Univision 41 - Had local coverage with a reporter inTimes Sq. till 1am.
Telemundo 47 - Carried Telemundo coverage till 1am.

MSNBC had NBC anchor Brian Williams doing coverage till 2am. A lesser MSNBC anchor took over and I think his hour was repeated through the night. CNN had Wolf Blitzer doing coverage till 2am when the North America network switched to the CNN International feed. Fox had live coverage with Geraldo Rivera in the crowd outside the White House till 2am. But Headline News was running a Joy Bahar repeat about the Royal Wedding at Midnight. Headline News has gone from a serious network doing continuous half hour newscasts to a Tabloid TV operation with no anchors between 5pm and 5am to make room for cheesy shows.

From what I could tell, WPIX did not send Larry Mendte to Pakistan to cover the aftermath of Bin Laden's death - unlike, say, WABC with Jim Dolan. (After all, Mendte did travel to Libya with Curt Weldon about a month ago . . . )
