how difficult is it for listeners?

Since she had her computer on to send the e-mail request, why did she not just listen to the digital internet stream, or one of the other tens of thousands of available webstreams or podcasts?
No Boston Acoustics table radio, antennas , trouble, or expense was needed.

It would be interesting to know what part of the Chicago area she lived in. And it would be interesting to know what her impression would have been if she tried to listen to WBBM or WSCR in HD.

From my experience with a Receptor HD, I don't think it would have been nearly that easy in Lake, McHenry, or Will Counties. The AM stations would probably have been difficult in southern parts of Cook Co. as well. (and indeed, probably on the south side of the city itself)

I do have to agree with her comments about the sound on this radio. The Receptor HD has superb audio and is an excellent analog receiver.

Save $300 toward your next computer or to put toward a wireless WiFi or WiMax connection.
AT&T and others testified this morning they will be rolling out 30 to 50 mile (per cell) wireless cellular type connections, nationwide, in a couple of months.
It's a very good oldies station, and I can get it with perfect digital clarity all the way in Pennsylvania. Try that with an HD Radio! Probably worldwide wherever WiFi, WiMax, or internet is available!!!
Use the HD Radio as a doostop in case your air conditioner breaks down this summer.
NO ONE NEEDS AN HD RADIO DECEIVER!

The same can be said for the analog only BA Receptor. It's not cheap, about $150 at Best Buy, but then, I'm amazed at how many people will fork out nearly $500 for a Bose table radio. In perspective, the BA is quite a bargain.

I have an analog only Receptor on my bedside table. It is a very good performer on both AM and FM. In fact, even local AM stations sound remarkably good on it. Hmmm.....
