How do you pull and hold files from FTP site for later play?

Forgive me if this has been covered before. I wish to record an hourly newscast from an FTP site on line and play it back at a givin point by my automation computer. How do I go about programing a computer to do this?

downloads the file, renames it if needed, and places it into the folder your automation system will look to at the time you want to play it back.

I am using it for news, weather, and sports. Love it.
