I was wondering with GST dying at the hands of Randy Bloomiequisted how or where could one start a web radio show? I know nothing about it and just wanted to check it out! how it works, costs, equipment need etc! just wondering!!thanks!wormburner

You can create an internet radio station at www.live365.com. Whatever format you like, with live broadcasts or not. And they handle all of the legalities and technical stuff. They also provide the software to set things up, or you can create/use your own. The cost is reasonable. It would cost a great deal more to do this on your own. And if you are just looking to do a show on someone elses station, well, there is a message board there where you can speak to the broadcasters.Cheers, eve

unnn-believable. A simple question about starting a web radio show can't be asked without bashing WGST. Absolutely right, since most webcasts have more listeners than WGST. Haven't they sufferedenough?

It's cheap. There are books and whole shows dedicated to podcasting. See iTunes podcasting. There are thousands. Many are much better than anything in Atlanta. Makes for a great commercial free commute. I listen to limbaugh on the home commute. I usually listen to various on the way in.I recommend:Rush Limbaugh - subscription required but cuts the show to about 35min per hour.diggnation - top tech stories of the weekthe onion radio news - a 30 second news satire dailytiki bar - a monthly video podcast on making drinks with lalathe bitterest pill - stay at home dad and part time actorreel reviews - important movies and reviewit's endless and commercial free!
