Last night a little before midnight I was trying to get some DXing on my standard run of the mill Radio/CD boombox. I picked up a very strong signal on 97.9, and the song that had just started was Dare You To Move by Switchfoot. I was thinking...WOW....great DXing from WNCI out of Columbus. I listened to the song...waiting for an NCI jock or NCI imaging to come on...when suddenly I hear a 95.5 The Fish sweeper. Huh?? Sure enough....The Fish was coming in almost crystal clear on 97.9
After some more failed attempts at DXing, I then came across a CHR mix show on what should have been Mix 98.9 out of Youngstown. Sure enough, 96.5 was coming in quite well on 98.9
Why and how did this happen? I have never had this happen to me before. All of the stations I am usually able to pick up were coming in with no problem.
