HOW FAR CAN YOU GO?

I was wondering; How far can you go before the 105.7 signal starts to fade out? In other words, can you drive an entire hour in any direction anywhere and hear 105.7 clearly on a car radio? And what about the 96.7 signal?

You can basically drive an hour from Atlanta and pick up Wild on EITHER 105.7 or 96.7 - possibly 45 minutes or so in the Southern directions

It's not as strong as Q100, Star, Dave, V103, etc., but we're talking about pretty sparsely populated counties, many of which get stronger signals from other markets (Athens, Macon, Columbus, etc.)

And if it helps, I can vouch for the 105.7 signal...probably being the best that I've heard anywhere being the area that I live in, which is Gwinnett...I-85...(Lilburn, Norcross, Lawrenceville, etc). Also, it's usually 95% strong, clear stereo sound too. Going up to Buford, Oakwood is still good enough for me...(and I'm a totally audiophile)! Then, for me it's gets kinda fuzzy as you hit Gainesville.

What I would like to see is an improvement in Atlanta (proper). When I'm in Midtown, it's okay...but def noticeable fizzle and the good clear treble and highs are virtually gone driving in some of the main drags in the Atlanta city limits...Piedmont, Ponce De Leon, Peachtree, 17th, 10th, Marrietta, etc. Trust me, I'm lucky the signal is great in my area but, a station like "Wild", I think should have the the strongest signal be down where all the clubs n bars and all the city-life is...y'know? (that's just me) Driving in and seeing the glistening, glowing Atlanta skyline and then, flipping over to Q100....only to hear our clear 100,000 blowtouch "Top-40" playing Train's "Meet Me San Fransisco" and Therory Of A Dead Man's "Meant To Be" on a FRIDAY night...can be a buzz-kill, ya'know?

Now I'm completely with you, man - having a Rhythmic station "fuzzy" in downtown Atlanta is just plain dumb - if I were Clear Channel, I'd switch Wild to 96.1, and put Project on 105.7/96.7 (since Active Rock isn't as much of a "downtown" format)

Only question is IMO have you tried 96.7 when you drive downtown? (Instead of trying to listen on 105.7?)

Forgot to even mention that. But, that doesn't work hardly at all. When they said 96.7 would "better serve the southern portions of the Atlanta market" it must only be for Peachtree City (WWLG city of license). Now I never really travel the southside at all. But, at least I can say that even way downtown, 96.7 is so fuzzy, I can't even stand to listen to it for more than a few seconds.

I mean, in that case, I feel like switching Project and Wild is a no-brainer, but I guess there's politics involved...

105.7 and 96.7 are both fuzzy at times in Dekalb County. WiLD isn't exactly executing the "party station" positioner. Its way too many nigtclubs for them to be doing live club broadcast in Snellville and McDonough.

I have a hard time hearing 105.7 in Cumming.

My car has an HD radio and I live in Midtown. I can pick up 105.7 pretty well while in Midtown but it craps out when driving up Buford Hwy to Buckhead for work. You'd think driving further north would bring in a better signal, but it doesn't.
