Folks,
I hope you dont mind an outsider (I live in Seattle) askin' a question or 3.
How has Hurricane Katrina, etc., changed things? Specifically, you as a person.
And how has it changed New Orleans area Broadcasting? Will it ever fully recover? How long will it take to recover? What is the biggest hurdle to recovery?
I listened in awe to United Radio Broadcasters of New Orleans' stream on the web. What lessons did you learn from this experience, both personally and professionally?
For the people who actually did it (URBNO) , and surely some of 'em must read this board, how did it feel to be reporting what was going on? How did you hold it together? What got you through the experience?
And someone did get some good airchecks, yes?
OK, yeah, that was more than 3 questions. Your comments would be greatly appreciated.
Be assured that we in the Northwest continue to pray for you folks. We may live 2500 miles apart, but we are all Americans. We will be with you as long as it takes.
