how i would change WSAI

maybe i am simply a transplant, and tired of the same stale format. or maybe - as i believe - WSAI's current line-up is one of the weakest sports talk rosters i have ever heard. here is how i would change it:

5am-9am: Lance
he has waaaay too much energy and off-topic stuff, and takes waaaay too few calls to be the drive show. his kind of energy belongs in a morning slot.

9am-12pm: Pic
of the current shows, he "gets it." yeah, he might not have the best diction or broadcast savvy, but the guy "gets" what sports talk is for.

12pm-3pm: Rome
too much karma coming across the radio for our bengals to move this guy.

3pm-6pm: Mo
did you hear him earlier this week subing for lance?! he is another guy who "gets it." he rolls with the punches, he inserts funny comments to callers, his humor is NOT vanilla *coughLANCEcough*. he doesn't sound like a man-boy *coughSKINNYcough*. and he sounds like he really enjoys what he's doing.

6pm-9pm: Furman
i know this is just wishful thinking, but i'd move the sports show off of WLW and onto WSAI, and give that guys "Sterling" his own show on WLW.

9pm-12am: Phil Henderie
either you "get it" with this guy, or you don't. i was a huge fan for a few years of this show on WCKG up in chicago in the late 90s, and was elated to hear him down here. good times.

so that's how i'd change it. i'd ban the 2 Angry Man-Boys and their high-pitched, out-dated, pretensious asses from radio forever. especially Richard Skinner. what that guy is doing in radio is a mystery of the ages.

Sportstalk on WLW is an instution since the early 80's with Bob Trumpy to be removed from WLW. that is Why SAI airs Phil Henderie against Sportstalk on WLW as to not compete against its brother station.

Because 'SAI is a CC throwaway signal, they are not going to shell out any money or benefits for it hosts. The Angry Guys and Pic "who GITTS is" all have several other jobs, because CC is so cheap. You won't get too many knowledgeable hosts at 9 bucks an hour. There are a few around town selling insurance, golf clubs and stocks because radio doesn't pay like it did in the 80's and early 90's.

PS...as Pic would say "GO BINGALS"
