How is fm talk 1051 and gen x radio doing?

Talk radio bores me reguardless of what side is on so i do not listen much but i will say savage is a nut but entertaining and i like laura but do not listen much would much rather here tuneageI bet 105.1 is a much easier sell then any format this station has ever been!!!Anyone know how they are doing?

I like gen x radio but they repeat some songs way to much like two princes by the spin doctors and losing my religion by r.e.m. jesus jones right here right now pearl jam daughter but they do dig somewhat deep like i heard dreams by gabrielle and run dmc walk this way.

They are so much better then that god awful 80s station that we had called the point where they played the same few songs everyday.They had no variety on that station at all!!!Gen x has variety!!!

Opinions are welcome for either station.

I like gen x,, its all I listen to except for sometimes WDJX WAKY and for news WHAS,, I dont live in the ville, but I have family there,,,, I get gen X radio from Bloomington Indiana, to Bollingreen KY so they have a pretty good signal.. way better than the god awful louie FM failure. I didnt even know that 105.1 flipped, but I knew their days were numbered.. Gen X is probably the closest to an Alternative station,, combined with MAX FM,, which isnt too bad, but the playlist is stale at times.. I agree all the point stations were very bad 80s stations,, they should have dug deeper like .977 The 80s channel

I guess you didn't know that Gen-X and Louie are exactly one and the same. There is no difference in the signal between the two, because they didn't change anything except the format.

It's the same coverage mape, the same tower, in the same place, with the same antenna and the same power level.

Then why would you claim that they had a way better signal than Louie? Which is it? Same signal or way better?

By the way, I'm not buying your statement that you can get Gen-X in Bowling Green either, unless you're streaming them on your laptop. Not only is 120 miles kinda far for a Class C2 FM, there's a 100.7 in the county north of Bowling Green. (C3- WKLX- Brownsville)

It's not real great reception, but I have been able to pick up WLUE/WLGX on my car stereo on I-65 at various points south of Bowling Green.

Yes, and I've been able to pick up QMF at Red River Gorge. Heck, I've been able to pick up QNU in Dayton, Ohio.

But does QMF cover from Louisville to the Gorge? Does QNU cover from Louisville to Dayton?

No and no.

Gen x is hardly alternative radio but they do play some good tunes now and again. But as much as i hated louie with a passion always did they did well for a period of time but that time came to an end ;D If it had beeen programmed like the jack fm is in los angeles i would have liked it more. But i like gen x better then jack fm in la at this juncture.

But we do not have a programming genius named kevin weatherly of cbs here in the ville.At least thats what peeps in la call him.
