How is McConnell doing in Chicago?

I can't listen to him live or podcasts so I've no idea.

Does he avoid politics? Will he stick around or move elsewhere?

His show was kind of lame by the time he left Cincy. Has it changed since then?

Thanks.

I'll have try and listen in.

I hope he got his groove back.

His original show in cincy was great, then that weekend stuff came along and it just wasn't that great to listen to anymore.

Don't have the hourly breakouts or the money demo's but after Christmas, WGN is # 4 @ 4.5 (6+) almost twice WLS AM #15 @ 2.9 (6+). Of course WLS AM is typical conservative talk with lots of syndication, while WGN is local talk.

Just listen to Mo on ESPN 1530. He's a clone of McConnell's inflection, pacing, snark, and everything else except McConnell's gift of insight.

And He's not as entertaining as McConnell is either with an annoying voice for the radio.

At least Mo doesn't sound like he's bored stiff...

That's funny. I also thought Mike was sounding like he was phoning it in before he left town, especially after that weekend show started.

I wondered if he sounded any more animated after moving to Chicago.

Sounded good to me. Of course, he didn't really move to Chicago for quite a while. Who knows, he may not be there now.
Someone told me that they built him a sweet studio, in town and that is why he no longer does it from our studios.

I have listened to his WGN podcasts on and off since he started there. He often talks about people waving at him as they walk by his broadcast area. I think that he has a street view. He's been saying that for over a year.

Just my $0.02

Right and he may be there live now or for a couple of days a week. Every now and then, when he was in our studios, he'd go to GN and do a show or two.

Just stating fact. I know what i know. He had full use of our facilities then they built him some nice digs in the Cincy area but, who knows, he may now be a full time citizen of Chicagoland. BTW, those chumps didn't offer me one shekel for our services.
I looked hard at moving there when we ran a property in the market. WAAAAY too expensive to live there.

He just sounds disinterested. "uh" "uh" "uh". His go-to adjective, and adverb, is "really."

How many times can you fill air time by uttering the word UH per hour. Mo is from The Darryl Parks School talk hosts who does the same thing on Saturday Mornings.
