HOW IS MISS 101 SOUNDING IN MERIDIAN SINCE THE FORMAT CHANGE ?

Hmmm...this is a tricky one. The station's sound? Pretty much an exact replica of OKK...which, I assume, is the idea. Same goes for the morning show...they sound just the same as they did when they worked at OKK.
What gets me is all the damn live reads. No content whatsoever...how does that benefit the listeners? Since Clear Channel has so many resources, why don't they bring in consultants like they do in every other market? They might be okay with a little instruction.
The KenMan runs a solid board shift, but I think he fits better on a morning show. He's more than a time and temp jock.
What I've noticed about Jay King is that he seems to have regained his spunk with the switch. He sounds like he has gotten his second wind. But what's going to happen at night?
All in all...giving away a truck is a solid, attention-getting ploy, but will it matter in the long run? No.
What matters in the radio ballgame is making a lasting connection with listeners and giving them something that they can't get somewhere else. Can Miss 101 do that? We shall see.
Being a start-up station is hard, I know. But when what you have to offer is the same thing that's being offered down the dial, what's the purpose?

LOL, I don't recall Jay King EVER having any spunk.

Perhaps "spunk" was an over-exaggeration---but he sounds to me like he is at least happy to be there.
