How long before 680 makes changes or goes simul. with 106.7?

Does anyone besides me think that there is a chance that the Dickey Bros. will make another major move and either dump the 680 sports programming and simulcast All News 106.7 or make some major lineup changes? I really think that 680 needs updating to the point of dropping an hour off of Rude Awakening, canning Cowturd and putting Dan Patrick on from 9-12. Also,it's time to let Buck & Kincade go. I've listened to them since 680 came back in 2000,but now they sound like 2 old folks in a nursing home, especially Kincade. I have no use for Chuck & Smirnoff at all.

Between slim and none, and Slim just left town. Wonder if 680 could be a new home for TRG?

You mean "All News 106.7 and NOW AM 680..."

Why would the Dickeys give up around a million dollar a month in family profits they own? I can only assume WCNN is not buying Arbitron and not showing up in the 6+ but the last month they and 790 were both listed (Feb.) 680 had 1.9 verses .7 at 790 (6+). The best guesses for 790's billing is around a million a month, so assuming WQXI is doing a million a month, WCNN should be knocking down almost a 2 million in sales a month. I doubt 680 has a million dollar a month payroll. Sports talk stations nation wide generally bill amazing amounts of money verses the 6+ ratings.

And now they can "amortize" 680's newsroom expenses across 106.7 as well. Sportstalk seems to be a format that Dickey/Cumulus does well.

I really think that 680 the Fan should quit simulcasting on 93.7 & bring back AGH to that frequency.

If I was 1010 WGUN I would be on Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel.* It is summer time so 1010 will have maximum 50 KW or 45KW (critical hours) power. Then secure a translator while working on the 25KW night signal. I know the TOC has an older audience, but an older audience is better than what they have now!

* A few billboards would help out tremendously.

Why Would WYAY go AM? Look at WTOP FM they only do their newscasts on FM and with translators and they are always on the top 3 in the ratings in the DC books. Look at 680 AM Atlanta they are basically the set up the Way KGO-AM does their sports reports they borrow staff members from 680 KNBR San Francisco. Incidentally KNBR/and KGO in San Francisco back in the 1930's and 1940's were owned by NBC. KNBR(then KNBC/KPO) was the NBC Red Network for San Francisco and KGO was the Blue Network for the Market until 1940's when NBC was forced to split NBC blue and NBC red. NBC Blue became ABC and ABC owned the flagship NBC blue stations and NBC Red was simply called NBC radio until the 1980's. Fast Forward to 2011 when Cumulus took over(Owners of KNBR) the Citadel stations (Former Owners of KGO-AM and ABC Radio) KNBR and KGO were reunited again. This time KNBR as an ESPN affiliate (KNBR 1050 Fox Sports and secondary ESPN affiliate) and KGO as the ABC-I network station.
