How Long Before an All 90's Radio Shows Start To Be Common?

To the best of my knowledge, there aren't any yet at all, however I can envision 2 or 3 types of 90's shows:

One that plays all the 90's Modern AC hits of the day.

One that plays the dance CHR's of the 90's.

Or maybe a variation of the 2 instead.

Can it work? I think so.

There are some out there already.

Kid Kelly does a 90s version of his BackTrax show, and it's pretty good. He focuses on pop hits of the 90s.

Hmmm, I guess I was thinking more locally instead.

BTW, speaking of Kid Kelly, does he have better fact checkers on his year flashbacks? He used to get some of those years wrong on his 80's show.

How would you program: Nirvana, Britney Spears, Hanson, Sir Mix A Lot, Whitney Houston, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Dr Dre?

Really...I'm interested in what would make up a sample hour?

Here's what a typical BackTraxx show looks like:

Backtrax USA '90s
9/20/08
HOUR 1
Smells Like Teen Spirit-Nirvana
Freedom '90-George Michael
Steal My Sunshine-Len
Wannabe-Spice Girls
Cherry Pie-Warrant

Dreams-The Cranberries
Vogue-Madonna
It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over-Lenny Kravitz
I'd Die Without You-P.M. Dawn

Don't Turn Around-Ace of Base
3 AM-matchbox twenty
Waterfalls-TLC

HOUR 2
Torn-Natalie Imbruglia
Just Another Day-Jon Secada
Wild Night-John Mellencamp with Me'Shell N'degeocello
Blue (Da Ba Dee)-Eiffel 65

Semi-Charmed Life-Third Eye Blind
The Boy is Mine-Brandy & Monica
Something Happened on the Way to Heaven-Phil Collins

Walkin' on the Sun-Smash Mouth
Nothing Comapres 2 U-Sinead O'Connor (Last weekend's backwards track)

When I Come Around-Green Day
Finally-CeCe Peniston
Black Balloon-Goo Goo Dolls

They are all over the place with a playlist like that. I still think what I mentioned originally would work a lot better instead, either 90's dance/pop chr or all Modern AC.

I think a 90's Classic Alt show might work...you would need a lot of interviews, ect, otherwise you would run out of recognizable material real quick.

However, a great idea I had was a 90's Album Cut show...1 hour every week of 90's Alt/Rock albums...it's really the last decade that we will ever see album cuts, and there are plenty out there. It, however, may have to be an online-only or safe-harbor show because of language.
