Isn't there some FCC reg against simulcasting 106.1 with 104.5, or visa versa. Or, maybe by not being exactly on sync, they can override the FCC. I never heard of this action before in any market. Now for anyone who really cares, "The Head Honcho" of the "All-Mighty Board" has spoken, its gospel, 104.5 will be Spanish Contemporary. What a crock, he is so off base its sad, it will never happen. The only options CC has are Talk, which CC will not do, Hurban, no way, they cut JJZ for competing, Country, I think XTU has it sewn up, another Country outlet will degrade the audiance, that leaves some sort of Rock/Alternative outlet, which is just what its gonna be. Save this post so you can see I was right. Oh Mr. Kevin, this board has more class than the other can ever imagine. I see the H.H. is getting tired of 1210 already, need I say BAN, he is good for that.
 
Actually, 104.5 FM is 'shadowcasting'. So it isn't a full market simulcast.

Also, I can't find a signal personal attack on the other board.

It is certainly has more class than this board.

Also, what makes you so confident that 104.5 won't be Spanish Contemporary?
 
The only reason there are no attacks on the other board is because the H.H. has given stict orders to remove any post that is offensive in any way. Believe me, there are many flames and personal attacks that are removed, his boy Eagle monitors the board, even when he is in the boys room. You have to admit, that board is full of nonsense, nothing comes to pass, its all drivel. At Radio-Info the real truth comes out about radio, no, I do not work for Radio-Info nor know anyone involved with it. 104.5 will not be Hispanic in any way, I am leaning toward a Rock format, not because there is a void and I don't want to hear MMR play the Dead and Tom Petty over and over. Plus YSP will be more talk with the Eagles. There are no other options out there. It is just speculation, which is more than the wishful, Spanish format lovers can attest to.
 
I disagree with you on most of what you say.

Hey, like I said before, I would like to see another rock outlet come to Philadelphia, but the best choice (Alternative) isn't a profitable format.

Lance said that Alternative would be his second choice after Spanish Contemporary, so it wasn't like he was making a hardline decision.

I was also considering calling you out about your military experience, considering that calling out posers in that regard ALWAYS leads to fun board material, but I'll let it slide. I mean, you claim to be a soldier but you also claim that you've never gotten "one red cent" from the Government. Something doesn't jive there, shucky.

I'll just kindly request that you drop the trolling for the other board.

They're discussing what we all love to discuss, which is radio, and they do it in a civil manner.
 
What the hell is trolling anyway, I never posted on that board, nor intend to, I do not have any friends over there, nor know or want to know any. I just don't like the way they operate, its just an arrogant board, stuck up and resentful, did H.H. tell you to attack me. FYI, I was in Nam 1968/69, Cambodian Border, Fourth Army Infantry. And NO, I never received one red cent from the USA for any help, welfare, medical, food stamps, housing, you know the stuff others get. You don't know me, so don't connect me with that board in any way. I just found and registered on this board about a month ago, but I am familiar with that other board. I really enjoy this board, it is open and free, not controlled like the other one, just my opinions. Any questions [email protected], I will enjoy your questions and remarks.

That's trolling. Also trolling is your attack on government programs, which really has nothing to do with radio. My fiance got government assistance to go to school. Are you trying to imply that she's a worthless human being?

I mean, I'm sure all the people who just lost their jobs at Clear Channel are probably going to go on Unemployment. Does that make you better than them? Get over yourself.

Also, it's funny how you identify it as "Fourth Army Infantry". You see, the first red flag about military posers is that they can't accurately name the unit/division/etc that they were a part of... which is something you NEVER forget and always give the proper and CORRECT way of identifying it. It's the 4th Infantry Division. "Army" is already known.

I'm not saying you are a poser, but I sincerely doubt that someone who served a tour of duty in Vietnam would bring it up so willy-nilly in a useless thread about a RADIO STATION FORMAT FLIP.
 
O'Hara's signature line about "the other board" and their moderating practices is somewhat true. When they ran this board, they would remove any and all posts that even mentioned the rock format...because the mods of the Philly board are ones who are bitching and moaning that "Filly needz a danse stayshun." They would also remove posts that were anti-hip hop. And they will remove posts or ban you if you aren't part of their political agenda or if you complain about certain formerly-banned contributors who were reinstated. To post there, you have to be in their little circle jerk. I'm not "attacking" them. I'm just telling the truth.
 
Thanks Shawn, that is exactly what I have been saying, they are anti-Rock and pro-Urban, in simple terms, bias and one-sided. Many of my friends were banned by that tyrant, just for expressing their feelings, which did not agree with his mindset. They would ban anyone who did not agree with their thinking, now Eagle is over there demanding a stream, so only the elite board members can read and post. I guess I got to him. What I am saying is this board, is cool and lets you post what you feel, as long as its not malicious. I just ignore these people who back them up, you notice how they are drooling over there, with the thought of yet another Rhythmic/Urban format showing up.

And to you Starwhatever, not that I owe you any explanation, but it was the Fourth Army out of Fort Polk, LA, FOURTH ARMY, NOT 4TH ARMY INFANTRY, with the 4-leaf clover patch, mostly infantry. I was in Co E, 1st Bat, 2nd Bri, under John C. Wheeler III, Major General, my CO was Capt. Thomas C. Calloway and the Fisrt Shirt was Courtney C. Christensen. We were assigned to guard the border and Ho Chi Min trail in efforts to stop enemy supplies and troups from entering the south. I was assigned to the weapons squad and operated the M-60 Machine Gun. Would you like to be in my shoes those 12 months, I don't think so, so just be quiet. I am through with the likes of you, and thanks to Radio-Info for allowing me to express myself, the other white meat would of never allowed it, too off topic...And please don't expect an answer from me, whatever bull you choose to write, I am not upsetting the moderators on this great board with personal issues.

sooooo what's the difference between the old regime and the new regime? I think the new regime has been a lot more heavy-handed with the moderation than the old regime, and the Philly board here has taken a serious downturn since then. I mean, words that are completely FCC compliant are banned (like a colloquiasm for passing gas) here. So it's not like this is a perfect board either.

There seems to be an opaque racism coming from some posters here. Some are still here, some are gone, but it's definitely not a negative vibe on the other site.

And BTW, Ohara - glad I got you so worked up on information that you could have easily googled that you avoided answering questions about your off-topic government programs.

I am with you on that. SamBuca and he possie have banned me a number of times. so then I created a board which is still active today but I can't post a link on here because I will get banned again. I am Glad to see Radio-Info under new owners and glad to see its not ran by [EDIT]. it was always there way or else. HAHA Sam and Lance the Jokes on you now.
