How long does a TV skip last?

I got a place between Houston & San antonio, I watch San antonio tv, but today, I think just about every channel 4 was trying to come in & 2 around. I couldnt get anything all day. I always thought it kind of clears up durring the day. But even FM wasnt skiping that much if at all when TV was today.

It depends. I've noticed that the really strong ones that bleed over into FM seem to last much shorter than ones that just fuss around on channel 2. I've had a few two-day openings to Central/Southwest TX and Mexico this season (from AL).

Where's the opening to? Has it been to the east (ie. Nashville, Atlanta, Greenville/Spartanburg, Jacksonville)?
 
I couldnt tell to many in to blury I couldnt watch it, only channel I could realy get was ksat 12 & kens 5 but even 5 was getting blury from time to time, it could of been Dallas also, I know a lot of times that gets wide open to there about the clearest that day I was able to recieve tv was 25 KAVU from Victoria.
