How long does Schaffer last at GST?

I checked out this guys website and did some reading on his career in Ohio.

He is going from what appears to be a situation where he has great support and great market visibility to a place where he will have less support than when he was in Toledo, and he'll have zero in the way of money spent promoting his show in Atlanta. This is a fact.

With the instability of GST and the fact that they're all Braves all the time and nothing else, I expect Schaffer to have a difficult time although on the other hand I'm pulling for him to do well.

If he doesn't last I'm sure that david paul is excited about getting another chance and Denny will always have Toledo to go back to?

He will be there for a couple of years. I am sure he has a guranteed contract. What else can they do?

Hughes and Kimmer will gone before him.

Didn't he work as a jock at WMMS-FM (The Buzzard) in Cleveland during that station's heyday?

I think that was Denny Sanders.

Jim

I hope GST does something completely out of character and markets this guy. I listened to him yesterday over the internet, and was impressed, but without billboards, tv ads, etc., he will slip into oblivion like all the rest (except Hannity did quite well for himself). I too am pulling for some real competition against Boortz, I think he could use it.

Are you kidding? Guaranteed? He lasts until Gabe Hobbs leaves.

Yes, that was/is Denny Sanders, who also worked at oldies giant WMJI as night jock and PD. He was released by CC in 2001. Denny is now the GM of Telos Systems, HQ'd in Cleveland. Denny is also a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee.<P ID="signature">______________

Gabe Hobbs is not going anywhere. Also, the new market Program Manager Mike Wheeler is not going anywhere. But Hughes and Kimmer don't have job security.

Don't bet on that. Watch Randy Michaels for hints.

Randy and Gabe were good buddies. Do you expect Gabe to be joing in Randy in Randy's new business?

Wow, came across this nugget of joy while going through the ancient postings; Mikey, close call!
