How Long Has WEZS Been "Smooooth Jazz?

I was scouting out the AM dial the other day (in the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts not far from the NH border) and noticed that WEZS-AM 1350 Laconia, NH promotes itself as a smooooth jazz station (aloso on its web site). How long has this been going on, and isn't that format supposed to be for FM's in or near big cities?

I would guess that it's been mostly smooth jazz for 6-7 years now. They were formerly beautiful music, with some smooth jazz and standards mixed in.

They've been billing themselves as Smooth Jazz for about 3 years, I think. It was a gradual changeover over 7 years or so.
