How long will 95.5 be NOW

I am so fuc**** tired of hearing that moniker, it almost makes me switch to poor old GST. How long will this go on???? Plus I have better reception where I live in Midtown on AM than the 95.5 sig.....

Cox likes 3-letter words that begin with "N" and end with "W" ("New", "Now", etc.).

Do we like them?

Naw.

  • WSB-AM & FM The Foxy Kissing River Bee that Jamz and never misses a Beat: Now with even more newness.
  • Traffic on the 8s: Because we knew you needed it now.

Rodney, I did not know the AJC was required to say "now". I always took it as a bit of sarcasm with the AJC writers gently poking fun. The requirement makes it even funnier.

Wasn't the River NEW for years? It could be NOW for a decade! :)
River was NEW from when they were actually NEW in 2006 until about a month ago. It made a comeback about a week ago, but the NEW is gone again.

I know quite a few stations that started out as "new", then kept tweaking their format multiple times over the years. They also kept the "new" slogan for multiple years, too. I always wondered if they did that because they couldn't stick to a steady format and noticeably tweaked things constantly, so much to the point that they didn't have time to drop the slogan before they "renewed" themselves again.
