How Long Will "REPEAT SATURDAY" Last On WRKO

What a turn out.
How long will WRKO run "the best of..." repeats on Saturday?
WRKO hasn't had "the best of" anything in years that they should try to inflict dull repeats on its Saturday audience.
Now that Brian Whittemore is the latest PD at WRKO to be fired what will Jason do before he too gets fired?
All in all its spells the increased downward spiral of WRKO into oblivion as a talk station.

really gotta agree, very small market

And TKK isn't?

Hasn't WTKK been doing "radio rewinds" for years now? What's different other than the time of day the replay airs?

I like 'em, it lets me hear the best of what I've missed.

Re: And TKK isn't?

I agree--to a point; let there be one or two "best of" slots so people can
catch up on Howie, DePetro, etc.; though there's also a need for some locally
based and syndie shows (they now have Glenn Beck, for example, Sat nights)

What will Wolfe do with weekend--and weekday--lineup? Stay tuned...

sure, but not common in big markets, no reason for boston to have a contest to see who can be more small market..

Re: And TKK isn't?

You haven't missed anything. Howie Carr has been doing the same show over and over and over and over again for the past five years at least. He is stale and should retire. And he complained about Jerry Williams to get his job. As they say,'he couldn't hold a candle..."
Hey, did you know Howie wrote a book.... Now, that is the 7 million time you have heard him plug it I am sure. Wonder if he has to pay Entercom for the free ads?

And I like it!

So did Rush, Laura I., Imus, Stern, Savage, Graham ("Redneck Nation"), Hannity,
Franken, et al. I've actually pre-ordered Carr's book and it sounds promising.
Cheapskates can get parts of it for free in the Sunday Herald (and
I think it'll also be in Monday and Tuesday's paper).

Meanwhile, (Lobstergram) that Sean (Ruth's Chris) Hannity has
(GotoMyPC.com) subliminal (Jet Blue) ads all over his show.

Hello, Howie? My name is Billy and I'm a first time caller...

Remedial Talk Radio for the Ch. 766 Crowd

Yeah, Howie's good for those who are not bright enough to pick things up on the first bounce. Sort of remedial talk radio for the Ch.766 crowd now grown into adulthood.

It's Not Unique To Boston

Weekend "Best-Ofs" or "Radio Rewinds" are quite common on talk-formatted radio stations in all sorts of markets large and small.
