How many firings will DRAMA DAN YORKE be demanding?

He will scream really loud for for three minutes, then suddenly sound calm the next minute. There will be no slow progression towards calm. It will be SCREAMING which will come to a dead stop, immediately followed by calm.
That is how Drama Queen Yorke does it. lol. But I'll run tape tomorrow just in case he does faint and Matt has to pick him up off the floor.

he will prolly be asking for the firing of the same people anyone else whom was caught in the mess will be askin for.......... THE DOT DIRECTOR AND THE SUPERENTENDENT OF THE PROVIDENCE SCHOOLS and the only reason for the school chief is for going home and leavin over 60 buses w/ kids on them to fend for them selfs

Yorke will most likely take the Buddy route and blame everything on Cicilline. He has a 5 year vendetta against him because he "dare" not respond to him. Since then he makes accusations against him for everything that is wrong in the state. He doesn't ever back up any of the accusations, but hints around like nobody's business. It is my guess that a golden opportunity exists to blame the Thursday nightmare on the Mayor.

I think Talk Radio is a great tool for people who do not have a voice when it comes to politics.

YES, Dan York better be screaming at the top of his lungs for people to get fired over this.Yes, I think the DOT Director should be fired. His dibacle on opening week with the I-WAY alone and now this.I am starting to think this guy likes looking at trffic jams on DOT camara's.
Communication between Government dapartments is horrible. After the Station Night Club firw I thought a lot of money and training went into training different departments and the puchuseing of two way radio's etc. so that when we do get hit with a dissaster.People can talk to one another.

This was a total breakdown of the system.YET, AGAIN.
I would really love to no why it was taken out of the state constitution in 1992 that the LT. Governer cannot take over if the Governor is not around. That alone added 60 % of Thursday's problem.

I was in it and so was my sister. The Gridlock was there on 195 and 95 before the snow started. The salt on the roads couldn't possibly handle the amount of snow that was falling. Nobody but 'WE' drivers should be fired for clugging up the highways. I mean hay thats what I saw.

Ah yes! Mr Yorke The Great Cry Baby of Radio! This Profit will demand 72 be fired! First your Governor! All the way down to Mr Yorkes two Daughters! Allah be praised! Furture Mr Yorke will demand Mr Allen drive him back and forward to work!
Apon all these good deeds being done, Mr Yorke shall have Drinks with Speaker Murphy asking for a job as Press secretary!
These are my great visions! Al C.

Interesting points, but WHERE did the spellcheck go to??? Never thought I'd see folks in such a rush to get something out that they'd forget how to spell...

Everyone wants to blame somebody for an "Act of God." It freaking snowed. Roads got clogged with traffic. Get over it.

Drama Dan acted calmly at first Monday, because I think he reads this board! Then 5 pm came. D D. spoke to the Governor. Governor said maybe people like D.D. shouldn't have been on the road clugging it up. Drama Dan, then demanded RAW MEAT. 'Somebody needs to hang"!
Skynet sees it for what it was An Act Of GOD which was beyond government.
D.D always says we have too much Government. Now, all of a sudden WE have too LITTLE Government!
Thanks for not dissappointing us D .D. . After the Governor was on, D.D. SCREAMED, Demanded HEADS, and made fun of the Governor. Drama Dan. Can hardly wait for his fainting spell on Tuesdays show!

Gee, I thought Dan was very calm today. If you had been through the week that he's put in you would've been on the couch with your thumb in your mouth.
You guys are just too much!!

I didn't hear the show & we run the risk of talking about the Governor instead of the issue, but that was a very childish comment from Carcieri. It's like he was saying "the show will go on without you Dan". Very childish. I reiterate what I said in a previous post that being in the media, he had a right to try to get to work as much as anyone else in the media from radio to TV to traffic reporting. He more than paid his dues on the highway by helping push cars up a ramp. There was a time when someone making the effort to get to his job would have been considered admirable but peoples' attitudes towards assuming responsibility have changed for the worse.

No Sh't

I'm reading some of these last postings and they're emotion packed and I get that. I just don't understand what could have been done. I was in it. My Sister was in it. As you all know, most of the day Rt 95 and 195 have Heavy or Gridlock traffic. That was the case on Thursday. As I sat in traffic and watched the snow start to fall, Hard, I realized it could become real bad. It did. This situation is got to happen again. We've been LUCKY for years. Now if 95 and 195 were 6 or 7 lanes, we'd have room to drive. As it is now, WE DON'T. Even if those State dummies didn't let the schools all out at once, the high ways were already somewhat jammed. The Plows had ZERO room to operate. Please tell me how government could have saved that Thursday.

Oh god. You just opened up a huge can of worms. They'll be people demanding the DOT expand ALL highways 2 16 lane mega highways immediately.

The SNOW was an ACT OF GOD. The SNOW came earlier than predicted. Unfortunately the timing of the storm was horrible. Then combine that with the simple fact that EVERYONE decided to get on the road at the same time. It was just a very rare receipe for disaster.

Yes I can sympathize with people stuck in traffic for 9 hours. But nobody could have avoided this any more than they could have avoided the terroist attacks of 9-11. There was an incredible element of surprise with this storm. This was a problem that nobody saw coming.

I could sit here and blame every person who had a car on the road that day. You can't plow thru traffic. But that would be silly for me to blame people for driving their cars and conducting their lives. But the bottom line is that this whole mess wouldn't have happened if cars had stayed off the road! So unless you are ready to take responsibility and blame yourself for causing the gridlock, don't try to lay that blame on anyone else. It was no more the fault of the state or the goverment than it was your fault for actually driving into that mess and causing it!

SO STOP LOOKING TO BLAME EVERY TOM, DICK AND HARRY FOR A FREAK EVENT THAT ONLY HAPPENS ONCE EVERY 30 YEARS! LIFE ISN'T PERFECT. OCCASIONALLY BAD THINGS HAPPEN. THIS WASN'T ANYBODY'S FAULT! "ACT OF GOD!"

The end.

no im not lookin for everyone to be fired.... id be happy w/ the DOT director replaced and the providence school superentant ....( I STILL CANT BELIEVE HE WENT HOME W/ KIDS STILL ON THE ROAD )and for the record we have had pleny of 6" snowstormswhere the snow had fallin at the same rate per hr sence 78..... but during the 80 and 90s we had compitant people running the state... and believe it or not i wasnt even one of those people stuck in it... just someone whose tired of the incompitance of this state

OK.... I guess we can agree to disagree. I realize that Rhode Island is the most corrupt state in the union. Everybody seems to steal and scam from each other. Not a whole lot of honesty going on in Rhode Island. I will not argue with that fact. But to place blame on others for clogging ourselves up in some snow just doesn't make much sense to me.

I'm not even seeing the snow as the major factor here. It could have been sunny and 70 degrees. If the same amount of people hit the road at the same exact time then there still would be gridlock. To many people trying to fit through a bottleneck are going to get stuck no matter what.

Some people just arn't happy unless they can point fingers.
