How Many FM's Playing Doo Wop and Pre 64 Music?

I was just wondering, as stated in post title, how many commercial FM stations are still playing doo wop and pre 1964 music? I know WOGL does, but mainly for specialty shows.<P ID="signature">______________

92.1 WLNG in Long Island does. Great station.

On June 3rd between 10AM and 4PM until regular programming and the Bill Brown show ended, WCBS played a total of ONE. Louie, Louie. Then oldies said, "me gotta go." After 4PM for a half hour, wcbsfm.com was broadcast over 101.1FM.

It was a loss, but how much of a loss?

As a small regional station we don't play all oldies, but we have a good chunk of oldies programming. I think we do a bang up job of covering pre 64 oldies as well as post 1964. Go to www.959watd.com to stream us or if in the area, give us a listen at 95.9 WATD, Marshfield , Ma. I speak for my show ,Solid Gold Sunday. It is heavy in the pre 64 tunes. From 1950 - 1969. Sunday from noon till 4:30. Our website can give you our schedule for oldies programming. All the jocks of oldies have their own collections so you the listener get a variety between each show. Give us a week and we will entertain you.

Oldies playing 50s/DooWop

Very few anymore, at least in regular rotation. Even the Doo Wop shows are dying.

Most Fifties and Doo Wop music is played on a few small market FMs, but is now largely on AMs (again, most in non-large/major markets).

WRQN/Toledo does. It images pre-63 and doo wop as a "Jukebox Classic". Run one every other hour or so. And, they do 50's weekends. Station is Top 5 P25-54.<P ID="signature">______________

Only other one that hasn't been mentioned is 103.9 WLSW in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. They play a whole lot during evenings and 24 hours during the weekends.

In Little Rock, a local show Timeless Tracks (pre-Beatles era) Top 40/rock 'n roll airs on sunday nights on KOLL-106.3 (aka Oldies 106.3). Hosted by Tony Warner who did the show on 3 other stations (first on non-comm/community station KABF, then the old CC owned KOll-94.9 until its flip to Mix 94.9 in 2003, and briefly on a rimshot from Des Arc on 104.7 before returning to Little Rock radio).

Yup, there's certainly WATD which does have good variety, etc. Also some smaller FMs might have a doo-wop-style oldies SHOW. My station, WMWM in Salem, MA has had "Uncle Henry's Basement" (sat 6-9 pm) since '90. Also I think there are.
weekend shows, with pre-64 stuff, on WTWV/WDVT on Cape Cod (more powerful)

It is too bad, but many shows listed are no longer around. Some have not been around for five years. It is too bad. Doo Wop is a wonderful art form.
