How many HD radio subchannels are available from WERS ?...

a. How many hybrid digital HD radio subchannels are available from WERS Emerson College Boston radio 88.9 ?...

b. What kinds of broadcasts are available on each of the HD radio subchannels of WERS ?...

Thanks folks! With the up to date information at http://boards.radio-info.com it's a lot easier navigating around the radio dial for broadcasts of interest.

WERS does have an HD2 but it's spotty recep here in Beverly (btw WERS does simulcast on 101.5 up in Gloucester). The display on the HD2 says "The Best of Broadway"

WERS' website calls it "Standing Room Only"

>>You can also get your showtunes fix on WERS 88.9 HD2, which broadcasts Standing Room Only 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in crystal clear digital audio quality!

(The // from Gloucester's transmitter is nr the very end of Rt 128. W268-AM

HD doesn't stand for "hybrid digital," they're just letters used to conjure up the idea of the same kind of higher-quality broadcast that HDTV offers. From iBiquity's own website:

Note: The 'HD' in 'HD Radio' does not mean 'high-definition' or 'hybrid digital'. It is part of iBiquity's brand for its digital radio technology.
