How many names can they come up with?

How many names can they come up with in this ridiculous mixed format. How about Hank, Horace, Sheldon, Clyde, Arthur, Wolfgang, and Gordie?

http://www.babynamesworld.com/ <--- Oh, I'd say several thousand. :)

I'm surprised 'Gordie' has never been used for a Canadian VH station. It could stand for Lightfoot (whose songs undoubtedly have a place in a rotation) or Howe (come on, the man played hockey longer than most people work in radio).

Hank already exists in Indianapolis and Biloxi-Gulfport. They're both country stations.

Personally, I'm waiting for the first station to call itself Boutrous-Boutrous FM.
______________

Given that Gordie Howe played most of his career with the Detroit Redwings, I would think "Gordie FM" would be a good name for a "Jack"-type format in Detroit.

Detroit already has a Variety Hits station named Doug...
______________

The trimulcast that the Chicago/Kankakee/Dekalb/Rockford IL markets have Nine FM, which came from the frequency of original Nine FM, 99.9 on WRZA, which serves the Kankakee, NW Indiana, and the south suburbs of Chicago, and a small part of the south side of Chicago. The WKIE (92.7) & WDEK (92.5) were added to add coverage to the Chicago market, and along the way started covering the northern suburbs & the north side of Chicago on WKIE and the far western suburbs, Dekalb, and Rockford with WDEK.
I don't remember if it's the Boston area has a Mike-FM. Most stations use a name while the Nine trimulcast uses a number.

I would assume they also wanted to pay tribute to WWVA in Pound Ridge, New York. :)

I am just waiting for Dick-FM. The jokes will be endless.

I guess Barry Gordy does not count for Gordie.

I meant *WVWA* in Pound Ridge, New York. The ficticious subject of one of the greatest radio parodies ever. If you've never heard it:
