How many presets?

I hope you used 201-300 so they will be consistant with those FCC channels that nobody in the world except the FCC uses.
BTW...you can make 87.9 channel 200 as the FCC did!

I didn't think about the FCC numbers as I used the first 100 presets. I was thinking about storing some of the medium wave AM frequencies at that time. Then again, I may try it someday.

My Sony GX900ES receiver/amp has 30 presets. But you can customize each preset with up to 8 characters. I use proper call letters for each station. You can also use a direct frequency readout. It has a LOT of goodies (Various acoustic audio processing effects. Including my favorite, "DANCE" - with room effects maxed out. ...It actually gives talk radio this effect....)

Hours of fun. So is the trippy, echoing nightmare of the "CHURCH" effect on this thing.....

Some broadcasters in the US also used the RDS to change frequencies. I find it very annoying when travelling in the hills when it keeps switching, sometimes with unpredictable results.

I'm surprised that K-LOVE hasn't thought about doing that, but none of their stations in West TN have RDS.

I knew the Eurosets to this. All the domestic BBC's use it.
Just never knew their were capable sets sold on this side of the pond.

A Euro set brought over here might work, but not all the program formats would display correctly.

The Sangean WR-2 I have next to my bed, & my WR-5 both have AF (Alternate Frequency). I didn't know that anyone here in the states used this. I wonder why home radios, such as these, would support a system that if mainly used when traveling.

Ten on my HD at home.
Eighteen (six AM, 12 FM) on my car radio.
Generally, I have favorites but frequently will plug in a station in order to monitor a possible format change or programming development.

I found out yesterday on a trip to Nashville that K-LOVE's station on 90.5 in Selmer, TN does have RDS now, but the station at 90.7 in Dyersburg, TN doesn't, at least yet.

This is semi-OT, but I thought yesterday does a translator for an FM station with RDS retransmit the RDS info from the primary station?
