That question has an answer, one that apparently just changed today: WBBM has gone with the new CBS O&O graphics...and for the fourth distinct time in the history of the station, is using The Enforcer.
As for how long ago these time periods can be, KMGH when it switched to ABC in 1995 got Gari's Eyewitness News for a year, used four different news themes, and returned to EWN after the SESAC dispute of 2006. After the SESAC Attack, KRON returned to its Instant Classics theme that they had last used in 2001 from Overture. Same case with KINT El Paso - after five years of Counterpoint, the Univision station returned to Lattitude's Turning Point. WJHG in Panama City used the Great News Package in the 90s then again from 2001 to 2005. WTHR used Hello News in the 1980s then returned to it in the early 1990s during their use of TVbD's Balls and Walls graphics. KARD/KSNW in Wichita used the image campaign in the early 80s...then, just like WTHR, picked up Balls and Walls in the early 1990s and used the same cut of Hello News as WTHR did! (I believe TVbD provided some music advice to their client stations because of this and KPNX and KCTV's common use of a news theme circa 1990 as well as TVbD-made graphics.)
The crown-topper is KGAN Cedar Rapids, Iowa - prior to today, it would have tied with WBBM, having used Hello News in the 1980s, from 1993 to 1996, and then from 2007 on.
